Summary:
Severe thunderstorms are expected to produce several tornadoes, significant large hail, damaging winds, heavy rains and flash flooding across most of Texas towards the Lower Mississippi Valley. Impacted Lanes: I-90, I-5, I-40, I-27, I-35, I-45, I-20, I-49, I-30, I-55, I-69, I-22, I-269, I-65, I-24, I-59, I-75, I-85


Texas
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:30 AM CDT this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening

  • Minor coastal flooding.
  • Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. Water over roadways. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Wednesday evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways is expected. 

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:30 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

Montana
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening

  • West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts mostly up to 65 mph, but gusts to 80 mph possible along the immediate eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountain Front.
  • Impacts: High winds may move loose debris and damage property. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles and those pulling trailers. Periods of blowing snow may also cause reduced visibility over mountain passes.

New Jersey
Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 6 AM EDT Wednesday morning

  • One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Widespread roadway flooding occurs along tidal waterways. Some roads become impassable. Minor damage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur.

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1 AM EDT Wednesday morning

  • Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

Washington
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11:59 PM PDT this evening

  • Snow above 3500 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches above 4000 ft., with up to 6 inches over the higher peaks above 5000 ft.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening

  • Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama

Additional Coastal Flood Advisories include but are not limited to: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Louisiana, Mississippi, and North Carolina

Additional Coastal Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Pennsylvania

Additional Winter Weather Advisories include but are not limited to: New Mexico

Additional Wind Advisories include but are not limited to: California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Mississippi
