Multiple corridors of severe thunderstorms are expected across the Upper Midwest on Monday into Monday night, with a regional severe weather outbreak possible. The most dangerous period is likely during the late afternoon and evening when strong tornado potential should be maximized. Scattered large to very large hail and damaging winds are likely as well. Montana
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11:59 PM MDT this evening
- Heavy snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations between 12 and 20 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
- Impacts: Travel will be hazardous because of heavy accumulating snow. Expect blowing snow to cause reduced visibility.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening
- Wet snow expected. Snow accumulations up to 6 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. Wet snow will create slushy road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 12:15 PM MDT this afternoon
- Minor flooding of small streams and low lying areas caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry coulees. Water may flow over roadways.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 11:59 PM MDT this evening
- Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations close to the foothills. Some roads may become impassable. Any heavy rainfall could result in Flash Flooding.
Florida
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10:30 AM EDT this morning
- Visibility of a quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
North Dakota
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11:59 PM MDT this evening
- Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph, are expected
- Impacts: High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles
