Weather Update 4.25.22

Summary: Rain, showers and thunderstorms are expected along a cold front from the Great Lakes to Texas on Monday. Some of these thunderstorms may contain damaging wind gusts and hail from western New York state to south Texas. The concern for heavy rain and possible flooding will mainly occur across parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Colorado

Winter Weather Advisory
  • Winter Weather Advisory  in effect until 9 AM MDT this morning 
    • Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches
    • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions

 

North Dakota

Winter Weather Advisory / Wind Advisory / Flood Warning
  • Winter Weather Advisory  in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning 
    • Refreeze of wet surfaces and snow on roadways
    • Impacts: Plan on very slick and icy road conditions that will impact travel through mid-morning
  • Wind Advisory in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening
    • Northwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected
    • Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. A few power outages are possible
  • Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
    • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast

 

Minnesota

Winter Weather Advisory / Wind Advisory / Flood Warning
  • Winter Weather Advisory  in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

Dense Fog Advisory / Flood Warning
  • Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
    • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog
    • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility
  • Flood Warning now in effect until late Thursday evening
    • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast

 

Florida

Dense Fog Advisory 
  • Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
    • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog
    • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility

 

Additional Flood Advisories include but not limited to the following: Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Illinois
