Summary:
Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms will continue through Thursday along the Southeast Coast through the Carolinas. Heavy to excessive rainfall may lead to flash, urban and small stream flooding. A strong winter storm will bring blizzard conditions to the Arctic coastline in Alaska through Thursday. Impacted Lanes: I-80, I-90, I-5, I-15, I-84, I-40, I-17, I-11, I-10, I-44, I-35, I-55, I-57, I-74, I-39, I-88, I-75, I-95, I-587, I-64, I-295, I-287, I-495, I-87, I-91, I-93


California 
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 AM PDT this morning

  • Moderate snow. Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, up to 15 inches at highest peaks. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
  • Impacts: Difficult mountain travel from delays, snow-covered roads, and chain controls. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM PDT this afternoon

  • Snow above 3000 feet. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches.
  • Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. Tire chains may be necessary if travelling through mountain passes.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 AM PDT Saturday morning

  • South winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Wyoming
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM MDT this evening

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, with lesser amounts of 2 to 6 inches at the southern end of the range. West wind gusting 30 to 45 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact travel over Salt River Pass.

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 9 AM MDT this morning

  • Southwest winds 35 to 40 MPH with gusts up to 60 MPH possible.
  • Impacts: Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.

Maine
Flood Watch remains in effect until 8 PM EDT Friday evening

  • Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts is possible in the watch area. This in combination with 1 to 2 inches of snowmelt will lead to small stream flooding. Urban and low lying flooding is also possible.

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning

  • Visibility less than one quarter mile in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

Oklahoma
Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning

  • Visibility less than one mile in freezing fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and potential frost on bridges.
