Summary:
Snow and strong winds will continue from the Central Plains to northern Minnesota into Tuesday, along with sleet and freezing rain in portions of the Upper Mississippi Valley. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across portions of the Gulf Coast Tuesday. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be the main threat. I-695 is closed in Maryland due to collapse of Francis Scott Key Bridge.  Impacted Lanes: I-695, I-80, I-90, I-94, I-494, I-10, I-65, I-20, I-59, I-24, I-75, I-40, I-64, I-70, I-77, I-271, I-71, US-30, US-6, US-83, US-20


Nebraska
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and reduce visibilities in blowing snow.

Texas
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening

  • West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles like campers, vans, and tractor trailers.

New Jersey
Flood Warning remains in effect until 4 PM EDT this afternoon

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Water over roadways. 

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 2 AM EDT Wednesday morning

  • Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

Georgia
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon

  • Southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 1 AM EDT Thursday morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways.
