Weather Update 3.22.21 - U.S.

Two storm systems will impact portions of the U.S. early this week. A powerful low pressure system will lift from the southern Plains to the Upper Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes with severe thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, critical fire threats and some snow. Meanwhile, another system will dig from the Northwest to the south-central Rockies with rain, gusty winds and heavy mountain snow. Active Advisories: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, New Mexico

  • 2-4 inches additional snow
  • Until 11 AM PDT this morning
Impacting transit along I-90 through Snoqualmie Pass
 
Oregon

Snow continuing today above 2500ft in the Cascades
  • 6-12 inches of snow
  • Through 5 PM PDT Monday
Idaho
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow occurring across the panhandle this morning
  • 3-5 inches of snow
  • Until 11 AM PDT today
Nevada
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow expected across central and northeast NV
  • 2-5 inches of valley snow
  • 5-10 inches of mountain snow
  • From 8 AM Monday to 8 AM PDT Tuesday
Montana
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow expected over night tonight across southwest MT
  • 3+ inches of snow
  • From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM MDT Tuesday
Colorado
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow continuing this morning across central CO
  • 4-12 inches of snow
  • Until Noon MDT today
New Mexico
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow expected today across northeast NM
  • 1-4 inches of snow
  • 40-50mph wind gusts
  • Until 6 PM MDT this evening
