Another potent Spring storm will cross the U.S. this week with severe thunderstorms forecast Tuesday into Thursday from the southern Plains through the South and into the Southeast. Heavy rain is expected from the central Plains into the Mid-Atlantic Tuesday through Thursday while heavy snow is expected across the Western terrain. High winds will drive fire weather in the southern High Plains. Winter Storm Xylia caused several additional Interstate closures yesterday, including I-35 in MN, I-80 in NE, I-80 in WY, and I-70 in CO.
