Summary:
A winter storm will produce copious amounts of heavy snow to the high terrain of northern and central California and significant rainfall and flood threats across much of California, as well as into far western Nevada. A winter storm will continue to bring several inches of snow and gusty winds across the Lower Great Lakes into the northern Mid-Atlantic. Both storms may cause travel disruptions. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-90, I-84, I-15, I-86, I-80, I-605, I-210, I-10, I-70, I-76, I-94, I-39, I-41, I-43, I-88, I-290, I-355, I-55, I-57, I-69, I-96, I-75, I-271, I-77, I-68, I-99, I-95, I-83


Pennsylvania
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 AM EST Saturday morning

  • Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 AM EST Saturday morning

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

California
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8:30 AM PST this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening

  • Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding.
  • Impacts: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening

  • Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Patchy blowing dust could impact travel and may make it difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 3 PM PST this afternoon

  • South winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
  • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down large objects such as trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 AM PDT Sunday morning

  • Heavy snow with periods of heavy rain expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 5 inches below 5500 feet, and up to 10 inches elsewhere, except 8 to 20 inches west of Highway 395. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Very strong winds combined with heavy snow accumulations could cause tree damage and lead to power outages.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM PST this afternoon

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 7 inches. Winds gusting from 20 to 40 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

North Dakota
Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 12 PM CST Saturday afternoon

  • Heavy snow and blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel will be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM CST Saturday afternoon

  • Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
