Summary:
A storm will move into the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes Thursday before moving into eastern Canada on Friday. A band of heavy snow will impact travel across parts of Iowa, Wisconsin, and upper Michigan Thursday then a wintry mix is forecast for parts of New England Thursday night. High winds from this storm could cause some power outages and damage from parts of Indiana to western New York. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-25, I-40, I-80, I-90, I-35, I-94, I-39, I-41, I-43, I-74, I-88, I-69, I-65, I-75, I-71, I-77, I-86, I-99, I-81, I-87, I-84


Iowa
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening

  • Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches. some sleet accumulation also possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 4 inches.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Oklahoma 
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Visibility one quarter to one half mile in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Visibility one quarter to one half mile in freezing fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and potential ice on bridges.

Ohio
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 10 PM EST this evening

  • South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 AM EST Friday morning

  • South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Missouri
Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CST this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM CST this afternoon

  • Wet snow. Additional snow accumulations around half an inch in the KC Metro, with additional 1 to 2 inches in North Central Missouri. Highest accumulations are anticipated across North Central and Northeast MO, where event totals of 3 to 4 inches are possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM EST this afternoon

  • Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
