California
Flood Watch remains in effect until 4 PM PST this afternoon

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: There is a risk for dangerous flooding, especially over freeways and local roads. Creeks and streams may reach or flow over their banks. Strong flows in the rivers and creeks will increase the risk for drowning and the need for swift water rescues. Rockslides and mudslides are possible in vulnerable canyon roads and hillside communities.

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening

  • Moderate to heavy snow at times. Additional snow accumulations by elevations are as follows, 1 to 2 feet above 7000 feet, 5 to 10 inches between 6000 and 7000 feet, 2 to 4 inches between 5000 and 6000 feet, and up to 3 inches between 4000 and 5000 feet.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Heavy snow and low visibilities with icy roads will make for dangerous driving conditions. These conditions could lead to road closures and travel delays.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening

  • Moderate snow. Additional snow accumulations by elevations are as follows, 4 to 8 inches above 6000 and 7000 feet, 3 to 6 inches between 5000 and 6000 feet, and up to 2 inches between 4000 and 5000 feet.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning

  • Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of urban areas, streets, underpasses and low-lying locations will likely occur this morning. Mud and debris flows, as well as rockslides are also expected, especially in and near steep terrain. There will be significant ponding of water on area roadways.

Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 8 AM EST Thursday morning
