Weather Update 2.5.21 - U.S.

I-80 was closed for several hours yesterday in Iowa due to blizzard conditions caused by Winter Storm Peggy. Meanwhile, an Arctic airmass will produce some of the coldest temperatures of the season across the Central U.S. and into the East. Dangerous wind chills as low as -45 degrees will be possible across the Upper Midwest. Heavy snow due to a stalled front is expected to persist across the northern Rockies for several days. Snow, including heavy lake effect snow will move into the Northeast. Active Advisories: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, New York, West Virginia, North Carolina
