Summary:
An atmospheric river will bring heavy rain, high elevation mountain snow and strong winds to the Northwest states and northern Rockies through Tuesday. A system tracking along the Gulf Coast will move across Florida today bringing occasionally strong winds, heavy rain and thunderstorms. High surf and dangerous rip currents with breaking waves up to 10 feet along the northern Puerto Rico coast. Impacted Lanes: I-90, I-5, I-82, I-84 I-80, I-15, I-94, I-25, I-35, I-10, I-69, I-45, I-37, I-20, I-30, I-49


Washington
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 PM PST Tuesday afternoon

  • Heavy, wet snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations 1 to 2 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
  • Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1 mile due to falling and blowing snow.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM PST Tuesday afternoon

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.
  • Impacts: Heavy snowfall and very low visibility will create dangerous driving conditions. Strong winds could cause blowing snow and tree damage.

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 4 PM PST Tuesday afternoon

  • Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts between 50 and 65 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM PST Tuesday evening

  • South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 to 55 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 7 AM PST Tuesday morning

  • Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other flood-prone locations is occurring. Road closures have been reported. 

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 AM PST Tuesday morning

  • Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 PM PST this afternoon

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. Water over roadways is imminent or occurring. 

Texas
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice

  • Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
