Summary:
A storm off the Pacific Northwest coast will continue low elevation rain and thunderstorms, mountain snow, and gusty winds over much of the West Coast and parts of the Intermountain West into Wednesday before tapering off Wednesday night. Dry, gusty winds will likely bring critical fire weather conditions to parts of New Mexico, southeast Colorado, west Texas, and Guam Wednesday. California
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM PST this morning

  • Flash flooding and landslides caused by moderate to heavy rain showers.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM PST this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas including ponding over freeways and roadways. Dangerous flows in small streams and rivers. Landslides are possible in canyons and vulnerable hillsides.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning

  • Wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas including ponding over freeways and roadways. Dangerous flows in small streams and rivers. Landslides are possible in canyons and vulnerable hillsides.

Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning

  • Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

Utah
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 PM MST this evening

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches through Wednesday evening, mainly above 7500 feet, locally up to 18 inches in the Tushar Range and near Brian Head.
  • Impacts: Winter driving conditions are expected. Traction restrictions are possible.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM MST this evening

  • Snow. Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches.
  • Impacts: Winter driving conditions are expected.

Texas
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CST this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 11:59 PM CST this evening

  • West winds 45 to 65 mph with gusts up to 90 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles like campers, vans, and tractor trailers.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11:59 PM CST this evening

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
