Weather Update 2.14.22 - U.S.

Summary:  Early this week, an aggressive storm system will begin to dig south and east across the Western U.S. to produce some heavy mountain snow and cooler temperatures. This system will evolve mid to late week into a large-scale, multi-hazard storm with heavy snow, a wintry mix, heavy rain with possible flooding and severe thunderstorms across the Central, Southern and Eastern U.S.

Oregon
Winter Weather Advisory
In Oregon, the Northern Oregon Cascades and Cascades are under a winter weather advisory until 10pm tonight for areas above 2500 feet.
  • 5-10 inches snow accumulation
 
Washington
Winter Weather Advisory
In Washington, the South Washington Cascades are under a winter weather advisory until 10pm tonight for areas above 2500 feet.
  • 3-6 inches snow accumulation
 
Nevada
Winter Weather Advisory
Northeastern Nevada is under a winter weather advisory from 7pm tonight until 4pm on Tuesday.  This is for areas above 6000 feet. 
  • 2-5 inches snow accumulation
 
Idaho
Winter Weather Advisory
Central Idaho is under a winter weather advisory from 4pm this afternoon to 10am Tuesday.  This is for areas above 2500 feet.
  • 3-6 inches snow accumulation
 
Montana
Winter Weather Advisory
A winter weather advisory is in place for areas in central and southwestern Montana from 7pm tonight until 11am on Tuesday.
  • 2-4 inches in mountain areas
  • 2 inches in valley areas
