Summary: A developing winter storm will produce the first widespread and significant snow of the season throughout the Intermountain West and Central Rockies today before spreading into the Great Plains and Upper Midwest on Friday. Ahead of this front and further south, thunderstorms will turn severe from the Lower Mississippi Valley to the Lower Ohio Valley into Friday night, where damaging wind gusts and tornadoes are the main concern, and large hail possible as well. Winter Advisories: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan

Impacting transit along I-90 and US-2, including through Snoqualmie and Stevens Passes

  • From Saturday morning through Sunday night
