Temperatures 20 to 40 degrees above average are expected through Wednesday for the northern and central Great Plains into portions of the Midwest. Considerably mild conditions in the West and Plains, chilly temperatures in the East today. Areas of rain and snow possible in parts of the Northeast and Northwest, much needed rainfall arrives in the Southwest mid-week. High Wind Warning
HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON
  • Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected, with isolated gusts up to 80 mph possible along the Rocky Mountain Front.
  • Southern Rocky Mountain Front, Northern Rocky Mountain Front and Eastern Glacier
  • Winds increase this morning, with wind speeds likely peaking early this afternoon

High Wind Warning
The strongest winds will be near the coastal slopes of the mountains and in the Inland Empire below the Cajon and San Gorgonio Passes.
  • Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph.
  • Coastal slopes of the mountains of San Bernardino, 
    Riverside, and Orange Counties, the Inland Empire, inland 
    Orange County, and San Gorgonio Pass
  • Until noon PST today.
