Summary: Heavy mountain snow will continue over the Pacific Northwest and Alaska Monday. On Tuesday, a series of Pacific and Bering Sea storms will bring periods of heavy low elevation rain and mountain snow to much of Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Alaska through the Christmas weekend. A storm will cross the Florida peninsula on Tuesday with a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms. Winter Advisories: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana

  • 3-7 inches of snow
  • 1/10th inch of ice

Heavy wet snow expected today above 3000ft in the Cascades and Blue Mountains
  • 3-5 inches of snow
  • Until 7 PM PST this evening
 
California
Winter Storm Watch
Heavy snow possible this week across the Sierra
  • 1-3 feet of snow
    • 4-6 feet possible at higher elevations
  • Tuesday afternoon through Sunday afternoon
 
Idaho
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow continuing today across the panhandle
  • 1-3 inches additional snow below 3500ft
  • 3-7 inches of snow above 3500ft
  • Until 4 PM PST Monday
 
Montana
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow expected today across southern Montana
  • 1-3 inches of snow
    • Up to 6 in the mountains
  • 35mph wind gusts
