As the Western Winter Storm System advances east, heavy snow will continue in Montana and the Four Corners region. Meanwhile, Eta is bringing heavy rain, flooding, thunderstorms, strong winds, and storm surge to Florida. Additionally, heavy rain and severe thunderstorms are expected in the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central Plains. Active Advisories: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Florida

Tropical Storm Eta
 
Eta made landfall in the Florida Keys Sunday night, becoming the 12th named storm to make landfall in the U.S. this hurricane season, and the first for the state of Florida. The center of Eta is now located just off the southwest coast of Florida, and while Eta's long-term track is uncertain at this time, it may approach the Florida Gulf Coast later this week.

Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for southern Florida
  • From the Brevard-Volusia County line to Anna Maria Island
    • Includes entire Miami metro
  • Conditions continuing through Monday
 
Flooding Rainfall
Storm totals of 18+ inches rain expected across southern Florida
  • 2-4 additional inches through today
  • Flood watches in effect 
    • Includes Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metro
