Posted by Jarrett on Nov 5, 2020 7:44:22 AM

Locally heavy rain continues in the Pacific Northwest through Thursday before a large storm moves into the West Friday and the weekend. Gusty to strong winds are forecast ahead of this storm which could create critical fire weather while cold air and strong winds on the back side could bring areas of heavy snow and blowing snow. Eta is being watched for potential impacts to Florida Sunday.

Tropical Depression Eta
While Eta has become disorganized due to interaction with Central American terrain, it is increasingly likely that it will move northeastward across the Caribbean
  • Forecast to regain tropical storm strength
  • Increasing risk of U.S. impact
    • Southern Florida
    • Florida Keys
  • Arriving over the weekend/early next week

Eta is the 28th storm of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, which is currently tied with 2005 for most storms on record.
