Summary:
As Thanksgiving gets closer, the majority of the Lower 48 remains very quiet with only some sporadic hazards expected Wednesday. In southern California, high wind watches and wind advisories will begin Wednesday evening, as Santa Ana offshore winds develop and increase the fire weather threats. Meanwhile, the constant air stagnation issues will persist in parts of the Northwest until late week. Impacted Lanes: I-90, US-200


California 
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 3 PM PST Thursday afternoon

  • Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down large objects such as trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM PST Friday morning

  • Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Montana
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM MST this morning

  • Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches in the valleys, with 3 to 5 inches over Lookout Pass. Ice accumulations of up to a light glaze.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions.

Texas
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
