Eta's track has shifted away from Florida, and is now centered in the southern Gulf of Mexico. The system may gain additional strength through Wednesday, but is expected to weaken as it potentially nears the U.S. Gulf Coast. Heavy rainfall affiliated with Eta is possible over southern Florida, however the exact track and intensity of the storm is uncertain at this time.
