U.S. Weather Update 10.31.22

Summary:
A storm system moving over the Western U.S. this week will bring rain and high elevation snow. Heavy snow may impact travel through the Sierras Tuesday and Wednesday. Severe thunderstorms will be possible over the southern and central Plains Thursday and Friday east of the core of the storm system. Heavy rainfall in this area Friday and Saturday could lead to localized flooding impacts. Impacted Lanes: I-90


Alabama
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility at times.

Florida
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening

  • Minor tidal flooding.
  • Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

Montana
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM MDT Tuesday morning

  • Southwest wind gusts up to 60 mph.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Strong crosswinds will make travel difficult along Interstate 90 from Livingston to Big Timber and roads along the Beartooth Foothills. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
