Summary: Lingering snow will continue across parts of the Rockies this morning, while scattered severe thunderstorms associated with large hail, wind damage and isolated tornadoes are expected across parts of the southern and central Plains from late Tuesday afternoon through the evening into the overnight. A coastal storm will continue to bring high winds and heavy rain which may cause flooding to coastal areas of the Northeast U.S. Tuesday and Tuesday night. Advisories: Wyoming, Utah, Colorado

Winter Weather Advisory
Periods of snow continuing this morning across the Teton, Gros Ventre, and Wind River mountains
  • 1-3 inches additional snow
  • Until noon today
 
Utah
Winter Weather Advisory
Mountain snow continuing this morning across the state
  • 3-9 inches additional snow
  • 45mph wind gusts
  • Until noon MDT Tuesday
Impacting transit along I-80 from Evanston through Mountain Dell and I-70 through Clear Creek and Salina Summit
 
 
Colorado
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow continuing today across western CO
  • 4-8 inches of higher elevation snow
  • 40-55mph wind gusts
  • Until midnight MDT Tuesday night
 
 
Additionally, Wind Advisories are in effect for parts of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas, Minnesota, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
