Weather Update 10.20.20 - U.S.

Wintry weather is expected from the Northern Plains to Upper Great Lakes with periods of snow and freezing rain. Another system will bring more snow to the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains Wednesday night into Thursday. Meanwhile, fire weather and air quality concerns persist for portions of the Western U.S., including California. Temperatures will run above normal over much of the East. Active Advisories: Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan

Snow expected across north central MT Wednesday into Thursday
  • 2-5 inches across lower elevations
  • 6-10 inches across higher elevations
  • From noon Wednesday to 10am MDT Thursday
Expected to impact transit along I-90 and I-15
 
North Dakota

Snow expected across southeast ND through tonight
  • 2-5 inches
  • Until 7pm CDT this evening
May impact transit along I-94 and I-29
 
South Dakota

Snow expected across northeast SD through tonight
  • 3-5 inches
  • Until 7pm CDT this evening
May impact transit along I-29
 
Minnesota
Winter Weather Advisory
Snow expected across most of the state today
  • 2-5 inches snowfall
  • Freezing drizzle also possible
  • 10am to 10pm CDT today
May impact transit along I-90, I-94, and I-35

Snow expected across the northern half of the state later today
  • 2-5 inches snowfall
  • From 1pm this afternoon to 1am CDT Wednesday

Snow expected across the western U.P. overnight tonight
  • 2-4 inches
  • May transition to rain before ending
  • From 5 pm EDT /4pm CDT/ this afternoon to 5am EDT /4am CDT/ Wednesday.
