Summary: Frigid air will move over the Northeast causing dangerously cold wind chill temperatures through Wednesday. Milder air is moving across Central U.S. All in all, today is the most "calm" weather day so far of 2022.
 
 
Washington
Winter Weather Advisory
Eastern Washington is under a winter weather advisory for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Periods of light snow, sleet and freezing rain could result in slick travel.
  • 0.01-0.20" ice accumulation possible
 
Idaho
Winter Weather Advisory
Northern Idaho is under a winter weather advisory for Tuesday and Wednesday.  The same storm that is moving through Washington will also move through.   Periods of light snow, sleet and freezing rain could result in slick travel.
  • 0.01-0.20" ice accumulation possible
 
Montana
Winter Weather Advisory
Western Montana is under a winter weather advisory until 11amMST today.  
  • Mixed precipitation expected.
  • Snow accumulation of up to one inch
  • Light glaze of ice
 
New York
Wind Chill Warning
This is in place until 3pm this afternoon.
  • Wind chills as low as -35  
 
Vermont
Wind Chill Warning
This is in place until 3pm this afternoon.
  • Wind chills as low as -35 
 
Massachusetts
Wind Chill Advisory
This is in place until 4pm this afternoon.
  • Wind chills as low as -20
 
New Hampshire
Wind Chill Warning
This is in place until 3pm this afternoon.
  • Wind chills as low as -35 
 
Maine
Wind Chill Warning / Advisory
Wind chills will improve and transition from the warning (expiring at 12pm) over to the advisory which will remain in effect until 6pm today.  
  • Wind chills improving throughout the day to -20 to -30 (last night they were as low as -35 to -45
