Meet our 2024 keynote speaker!
This year's keynote speaker is Dan Jansen, an Olympic gold medalist and world champion speed skater known for his extraordinary talent and resilience. A four-time Olympian, Jansen has won 46 World Cup races, 7 overall World Cup titles and 2 World Sprint Championships. He also set 8 world records and won gold at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, earning him a place in the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2004.
Jansen's journey is as much about personal courage as it is about athletic achievement. During the 1988 Winter Olympics, he learned that his sister, Jane, had passed away from leukemia. Despite this heartbreaking loss, he continued to compete, ultimately achieving Olympic glory. His story has been told in the book "Full Circle" and in a made-for-television movie.
In memory of his sister, Jansen established the Dan Jansen Foundation, which supports leukemia research, youth sports and educational programs. Dan Jansen's story is a testament to the power of perseverance. As a keynote speaker, Jansen shares his compelling story of triumph over tragedy, emphasizing the importance of resilience and persistence. His journey inspires people worldwide to overcome obstacles and view setbacks as stepping stones to greater success.

Satish Jindel
Founder and President of SJ Consulting Group Inc. and ShipMatrix
Satish Jindel has 30 years of experience in the supply chain industry. A key founding member of RPS (now FedEx Ground), Satish founded SJ Consulting Inc. and has advised more than 200 carriers around the globe.
In 2000, he founded ShipMatrix, which supports hundreds of shippers with parcel visibility, analytics, auditing and customer experience by processing several million parcels per year. In 2021, ShipMatrix was recognized by UPS as the voice for on-time performance for the parcel industry.
Often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Satish's unmatched track record for forecasting industry trends has solidified him as the go-to industry expert in the parcel industry.
Satish holds three master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including an MBA from the Wharton School.

Gary Moore
President and CEO of HEXPOL Compounding Americas
Gary has more than 30 years of experience in the rubber and plastics industry.
Prior to his current role, Gary led the company’s commercial activities, with responsibility for business operations in the U.S. and Mexico since the acquisition of Preferred Compounding back in June of 2019.
He began his career with HEXPOL Compounding in 2007 as the Global Purchase Manager based in Eupen, Belgium, leading the development, implementation and communication of strategic sourcing strategies. He relocated to the U.S. in 2014 and assumed the role of Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) based in the DFW area.
Before joining HEXPOL in January 2007, Gary served for 15 years in various roles at Avon Automotive, U.K., where he demonstrated his ability to develop strategy and deliver proven results.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of the West of England and a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science from Brunel University.

Holli Goare
Associate VP, Logistics at Bath & Body Works
Holli Goare is Associate Vice President of Logistics at Bath & Body Works, located in Columbus, Ohio. Currently, she has responsibility for leading their domestic logistics operations, inclusive of national shipping operations, local spotting and yard services, domestic truckload, less-than-truckload and the final mile network.
Holli began her logistics career in 2000 supporting international logistics and has held multiple roles within the Limited, LBrands, Mast and now Bath & Body Works organization since then. She holds a master’s degree in management from Ohio Dominican University as well as a bachelor’s degree in marketing/transportation and logistics from The Ohio State University.
In addition to her passion for logistics, Holli is involved in giving back to her community serving as an advisor to Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity, her neighborhood homeowners association, her local school system philanthropic team and athletic boosters.

Geoffrey Muessig
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of PITT OHIO
Geoffrey Muessig has over 34 years of experience in the transportation industry. He began his career with PITT OHIO in 1988 as a Sales Representative. Today, he serves as the organization’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Geoff is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing efforts of PITT OHIO.
He has successfully brought many new PITT OHIO service offerings to market including: Fast Track, an award-winning, expedited Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) guaranteed shipping service; Heat Track, a guaranteed protect-from-freeze LTL shipping service, and The Reliance Network (TRNet) which was a nationwide LTL network that spanned North America. Today, Geoff also serves as Chairman of the LTL Digital Council. He received a master's degree from the University of Chicago, as well as an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.

Matt Angell
Chief Customer Officer of Jarrett
Matt Angell, Chief Customer Officer at Jarrett, is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive strategies and driving the seamless operation of Jarrett Logistics and the Jarrett Routing Center. Matt oversees the implementation of new accounts while managing relationships with existing customers. Additionally, Matt is responsible for Jarrett’s sales support, customer success, client and carrier contracting, pricing and data analytics teams.
Since joining Jarrett in 2008, Matt has navigated various roles within the organization, culminating in a decade-long tenure as Vice President, Logistics Operations. During this time, he played a pivotal role in shaping the operational landscape, contributing significantly to Jarrett's growth and success.
Prior to his career with Jarrett, Matt served as the Executive Vice President at Miller Logistics, a third-party logistics (3PL) company based in Iowa. His experience in this leadership role provided valuable insights into the intricacies of logistics operations.
Matt attended Iowa State’s Ivy School of Business before pursuing entrepreneur ventures in Florida, Massachusetts, California and eventually at Miller in Iowa.
Matt’s strategic vision remains instrumental in steering Jarrett toward continued growth and success.

Rafi Khan
Chief Operating Officer of Earth Animal
Rafi Khan is a seasoned leader with a solid record of building high performing operations to achieve superior results. Rafi has 20 plus years of domestic and global supply chain experience in a variety of technical and leadership positions. Rafi has demonstrated experience with increasing scope of responsibilities and Supply Planning, Procurement, Inventory Control, Customer Service, Logistics, Manufacturing, Information Technology and Engineering. Rafi is a change agent with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver business results. Rafi has a proven ability to develop teams and leadership talent.

Joe Hoffman
CEO of Timco Rubber Products, Inc.
Joe began his career with Timco in 1989 as an outside salesperson, serving in that capacity for over 18 years. In 2008, he was appointed Vice President of Operations and Sales while also being selected to serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
Beginning on January 1, 2014, Joe took over the reins as the 5th president of Timco Rubber Products and in 2020, Joe was elevated to CEO where he currently presides. Joe is commissioned to uphold the company’s mission statement of “…delivering complete customer satisfaction while offering opportunities to its employees…”
Joe is a 1983 graduate of Bowling Green State University where he earned his BSBA Degree in Marketing with a specialization in Selling and Sales Management.

Aaron Nussbaum
Director of Logistics Operations of Jarrett
Aaron Nussbaum joined Jarrett Warehousing in early 2019. As Director of Logistics Operations, he oversees Jarrett’s warehousing operations, ensuring Jarrett is effectively supporting clients with any warehouse storage, order fulfillment, packaging or shipping needs.
Prior to joining Jarrett, Aaron spent eight years with The J.M. Smucker Company, working in corporate transportation, operations and warehousing. During his time there, he worked with many Fortune 500 companies, such as Amazon, Walmart and Target, which gave him exposure to their supply chains and delivery requirements. Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Mount Union and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused on Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management from Ashland University.

Jill Hochstetler
Director, Logistics Operations at Jarrett
Jill Hochstetler was promoted to Director, Logistics Operations in January 2022, and has director-level responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the JLS Routing Center. Jill began her career at Jarrett in 2011 as an Assistant Logistics Coordinator and has been promoted six times. She received her bachelor's degree from The University of Akron.

Mark Watson
Vice President of Corporate Accounts & Transportation Intermediaries of Estes Express Lines
Mark works with CEOs and executives of some of the largest corporations and 3PL firms in the US while leading a team of highly skilled individuals who establish supply chain solutions that help clients match their opportunities with the capacity and solutions of an asset-based carrier.
After spending 20 years in Sales and Operations at Roadway Express, Mark has spent the last 15 years at Estes Express Lines leading teams in Association Management, Government Services, Retail, Corporate Accounts, Third Party Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
Mark believes that building successful teams, no matter the sales vertical, is about leveraging the skills of highly motivated people with diverse backgrounds who have a desire to compete.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Appalachian State University.

Gray Silva, Executive Vice President of Sales for KAG North America, has been with Kenan Advantage Group for nearly 15 years, holding roles in operations, scheduling and business development. Today, Gray is a champion of supply chain leadership and commercial strategy.
Gray is a 2005 graduate of Mississippi State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Marketing.

Mike Jarrett
President and CEO of Jarrett
Mike is the Founder and CEO of Jarrett Logistics Systems (JLS), the flagship brand in his corporate portfolio. He is known for his entrepreneurial achievements as founder or co-founder of six highly successful companies based in Northeast Ohio.
He formerly served as Vice President of Carrier Operations for Hudson, Ohio-based Caliber Logistics (now known as FedEx Supply Chain Services) as well as Roadway Express.
Mike has been named EY Entrepreneur of the Year in the Distribution and Manufacturing category and led Jarrett to many awards over the years including recognition as an Inc. 5000 Award Winner 16 times.
He graduated from the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Business Administration and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Akron.
Mike and his wife Diane reside in Orrville, Ohio. He currently serves as the Chair of the Heartland Education Community Board of Trustees, the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) Board and the University of Mount Union Board of Trustees.

Lance Healy

Lance Healy is an entrepreneur that has driven innovation in the LTL industry for over 25 years. He created the first APIs to carriers in the late 1990s as Founder and President of Banyan Technology. While at Banyan, he developed APIs for full-shipment execution and automated invoice reconciliation. Later, he was awarded a U.S. patent on dynamic pricing for LTL carriers.
Since Banyan, Lance has worked with LTL carrier optimization technology and recently launched a new venture, FreightFacts, that aggregates LTL carrier data to score shippers. He leads and serves on multiple Digital LTL Council committees including the CSCMP Center of Excellence Board and committees and has served two years as TIA’s lead instructor on LTL for the past two years.

Blanton Winship, Sr.
Founder and CEO of Shiplify, LLC
Blanton began his career in transportation at GHE/Transus in the late 70s and has never looked back. His deep understanding of the LTL industry, combined with his passion for technology, led him to start Shiplify in 2014.
He resolved to attack the first and final mile, the more disruptive component of LTL pricing, with a geospatial approach to location identification. Soon after, he and his team combined machine learning and predictive AI strategies to enhance the speed and accuracy of the service.
Most recently, Shiplify released Dock Access, leveraging its platform to accurately predict the need for a liftgate at pickup or delivery. Two of his three sons are active in the business.
Blanton is a 1982 graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.

Tom Clark is Partner and Supply Chain & Logistics Practice Leader at DRI and also leads DRI’s Military Leadership Excellence and Military Transition Practices. He has held leadership roles across Direct Recruiters Permanent Placement and Contract Staffing businesses (formerly known as Direct Consulting Associates) and was instrumental in aligning the businesses to offer clients total, customized, performance-based recruiting solutions. Tom’s experience managing high-growth, multi-division, multi-billion-dollar businesses is a great compliment to his military leadership experience. He is a former U.S. Army Captain and Airborne Ranger who led troops in combat in the global war on terrorism and served as a subject matter expert on logistics.
Tom is the President of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Cleveland Roundtable and also serves CSCMP as the Regional Advisor for the Middle Atlantic and New England Regions.

Matt Wagner has more than two decades of expertise in business development and sales management, specializing in supply chain management solutions. As Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Jarrett, he is responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategy and execution to drive new business growth and brand awareness.
In 2007, he began his logistics career with Jarrett as a Manager of Business Development. Following this, he honed his skills further during a six-year tenure as Client Solutions Director at Transportation Insight, before ultimately returning to Jarrett in 2016 as Vice President, Sales & Marketing and was promoted in November 2022 to his current position.
Matt earned his certification as a LEAN Green Belt through Total Insight in November 2012, further solidifying his proficiency in driving operational excellence. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ashland University.
