Tropical Storm Arthur will continue to track east away from the North Carolina Outer Banks. However, dangerous coastal surf conditions and rip currents are forecast to spread north along the Mid-Atlantic Coast and persist during the next couple of days. Meanwhile, a slow moving storm in the East will bring heavy rain and the potential for flash flooding from Ohio to the Southeast. In the West, another storm will bring locally heavy rain with higher elevation snows to the Inter-mountain West. In the High Plains, storms could become severe. Windy and dry conditions are keeping fire weather threats critical in the Southwest and Four-Corners areas. States with Active Advisories: California, Nevada
