The award recognizes 75 global companies for their outstanding commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible supply chain operations, highlighting Jarrett’s leadership in green logistics.
Jarrett earned recognition through several initiatives that contribute to reduced carbon emissions and improved supply chain sustainability, including:
- SmartWay emissions tracking, enabling customers to monitor emissions, track sustainability metrics and inform data-driven decisions
- Installation of a 275,000-kW solar panel system at Jarrett’s Orrville warehouse location, meeting 100% of the facility’s electrical needs
- State-funded energy-efficient upgrades, including motion-sensor lighting to optimize energy use and reduce costs
- A companywide shift to paperless invoices, eliminating the need for more than 637,000 printed invoices
- Installation of reusable water bottle filler stations across Jarrett facilities
- Recycling initiatives through Jarrett Fleet to further reduce environmental impact
